Director's Bio

Nagraj Manjule is an Indian Filmmaker and screenwriter, known for the film Sairat and his first short film, Pistulya, for which he received National Film Award in Non-Feature Film category. His debut film Fandry won the Indira Gandhi Award for Best Debut Film of a Director at the 61st National Film Awards. His short film Pavasacha Nibandha (An Essay of The Rain) won the Best Director award and Best Audiography award at the 65th National Film Awards 2018. Manjule published a book of poetry in Marathi titled Unhachya Katavirudhha which won the Bhairuratan Damani Sahitya Puraskar.
