Synopsis

A paranoid thriller in space that follows Roy McBride (Brad Pitt) on a mission across an unforgiving solar system to uncover the truth about his missing father and his doomed expedition that now, 30 years later, threatens the universe.

Director's Bio

James Gray is a writer, director, and producer, who made his directorial debut at age 25 with Little Odessa (1994), a widely acclaimed film which received the Silver Lion at the Venice Film Festival. His films The Yards (2000), We Own the Night (2007), Two Lovers (2008), and The Immigrant (2013) all premiered in competition at Cannes. The latter went on to garner numerous awards including Best Actress and Best Cinematography from the New York Film Critics Circle. Gray's film The Lost City of Z, had its world premiere at closing night of the 2016 New York Film Festival and was released in theaters by Amazon Studios/Bleecker Street in 2017.
