Synopsis

Tilgya belongs to an untouchable caste. His ailing wife dies just as his village is celebrating the annual festival of Dussehra, marking the triumph of Lord Rama over Ravana, of good over evil. Debarred from participating in the festival procession, Tilgya is forced to leave the village with his dead wife's body.

Director's Bio

Nitin Bhaskar has a post graduate degree in Defense and Strategic Studies from M. J. College in Jalgaon, Maharashtra, and another in Ideology from Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth, Pune. He has previously worked for All India Radio, and as an assistant director with Shyam Benegal, Dayal Nihalani, and Ram Gabale. Besides being the director of some films, he was also the technical director of the Konkani film, Mahaprayan (2017), which won The Best Film (Konkani) at the Goa State Film Festival and was an official selection at the International Film Festival of India.
