You can register online at www.mumbaifilmfestival.com. or on. In addition to online registration, on-ground registration at all festival screening venues will open on October 10, 2017, and will be active for the duration of the festival. The dates of the festival are October 12, 2017, to October 18, 2017.

The dates for the Jio MAMI 19th Mumbai Film Festival with Star are from October 12, 2017, to October 18, 2017.

You can collect your festival badge from your selected badge pickup venue. If you are unable to pick up the badge at your pre-selected venue, you can collect the badge from any of the festival screening venues only after showing a valid photo identity card (Passport, PAN Card, Aadhaar Card, Voter Identity Card or Driver`s License). The badges will be available for pick up from 10 am onwards from October 10, 2017, until the end of the festival.

No. Each delegate needs to personally collect the festival badge. Only after showing a valid identity card (Passport, PAN Card, Aadhaar Card, Voter Identity card or Driver`s License) will the badge be given to you.

Please present the following at the registration desk to collect your festival badge.

  1. The electronically generated confirmation email/SMS.
  2. Valid photo identity card (Passport, PAN Card, Aadhaar Card, Voter Identity Card or Driver’s License).
Please note that the festival badge will not be issued in your absence and in the absence of a valid photo identity card (Passport, PAN Card, Aadhaar Card, Voter Identity Card or Driver`s License).

Delegates who have lost their festival badge will have to re-register for a new festival badge for security reasons. Lost festival badges will not be replaced.

The festival badges are non-transferable. Any misuse or sharing of festival badges is strictly prohibited and the management holds the right of admission for such delegates.

Yes. You can book seats for the sessions (masterclasses, in conversation with, reunions, roundtables) that happen at all the festival screening venues along with the film screenings.

There are two ways to attend a film screening/session:

  1. Book a seat: You need to book a seat for the film screening/session that you want to attend using your unique festival badge number.

  2. The seat can be booked in the following ways
    • Online - through BookMyShow.
    • On ground - At the booking counters available at all festival screening venues

You can book a maximum of four seats in a day for 4 different shows. In addition to booking a seat, you must be seated in the screening theatre at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the screening.
  3. Rush line/walk-in line: You can arrive at the screening theatre and wait in the Rush Line/Stand By line. You will be given entry to the theatre subject to availability.

A rush/walk-in line is meant for the delegates who have not pre-booked their seats for screenings/sessions. The festival generally reserves a few seats for each screening/session for delegates with no prior bookings. Depending upon availability, the delegates in this line are given access to the screening/session.

Yes. You need to book seats for each film screening/session separately. Please note that all seat bookings are subject to availability. In addition to booking a seat, you must be seated in the theatre at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the screening.

You can book a maximum of 4 film screenings/sessions in a day. Please note that all seat bookings are subject to availability. In addition to booking a seat, you must be seated in the theatre at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the screening.

Booking for each film screening will open a day prior to the screening day at 8 am except for the screenings on October 12, 2017. For October 12, 2017, bookings will open on October 10, 2017. You can book online through www.bookmyshow.com or on the ground at the booking counters at all festival screening venues. Some seats will be reserved for first come, first served walk-in delegates at the venue so you can try and avail that facility which is subject to availability. Please note that all seat bookings are subject to availability. In addition to booking a seat, you must be seated in the theatre at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the screening.

You cannot change one booking into another. However, you can cancel a booking for a particular screening/session and then book another seat for a different screening/session that you might like to watch. All bookings need to be canceled at least 1 hour prior to the start time of the screening. Please note that the new booking you make post canceling an existing one will also be subject to the availability of seats.Please note that all seat bookings are subject to availability. In addition to booking a seat, you must be seated in the theatre at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the screening.

The festival usually takes this into consideration and tries to schedule multiple screenings of a film (The same does not apply to sessions). In case you are unable to book a particular film screening, you can do one of following:Refer to your screening schedule to see an alternative screening date, day and time and book it in advance.Check online for sudden availability due to cancellations.Arrive at the screening auditoriums much before the screening to check if the rush line/ walk-in seats are available at the venue or if there have been any cancellations.

The following discounts are available on festival badges:MAMI Year Round Programme Members: 10% discount.Senior Citizens: 20% discount.Film Society Members: 10% discount.Students: We have a specially discounted festival badge for students. Students also have the option to watch the screenings at Regal Cinemas, PVR Kurla and PVR Thane free of cost by adhering to certain rules & regulations (terms & Conditions Hyperlink). All the seat pre-booking rules and regulations apply to the student delegates. They will have to book a seat and must be seated in the theatre at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the screening.

Full festival badge: Access to all the screenings/sessions at the festival valid from October 12, 2017, to October 18, 2017.Day pass: Access to all screenings/sessions on the day for which it is booked.Weekend pass: Access to all the screenings/sessions that take place only on October 14 & October 15, 2017.

A day pass gives you access to all the movie screenings and special events taking place on the date specified for the pass.

You can book maximum 4 screening/sessions a day. However, you can wait in the rush/walk-in line at any venue in case you want to see more than 4 movies a day. The confirmation of seats, in this case, will be subject to availability.

Yes. It is mandatory to carry your festival badge at all times to get entry into any festival screening venue. Therefore it is essential to preserve the festival badge in order to get an entry.

You can book maximum 4 movie screenings a day. However, you can walk into any of the festival screening venues in case you want to see more than 4 movies a day, the confirmation of seats will then be subject to availability.

Photo Ids will be checked at the time of entry into the venue. Entry can be denied at the discretion of the management if id proof is inadequate.

Half Ticket movie screenings will take place on October 14, 2017, and October 15, 2017 (PVR Phoenix Lower Parel).

The Half Ticket screening venue is PVR Phoenix Lower Parel on October 14, 2017, and October 15, 2017.

To get access to Half Ticket screenings, you will have to register yourself for the festival online at www.mumbaifilmfestival.comor in.bookmyshow.com/mami anytime from September 4, 2017, to 15th October 2017. On-ground registration will open on October 10th, 2017 and will go on through the duration of the festival. (Festival dates this year are October 12 to October 18, 2017)

Children and young adults cannot register for Half Ticket without an adult (parent/ authorized guardian). It is mandatory for the adult (parent/ authorized guardian) registering the Children and Young Adults for Half Ticket to be a festival delegate with a valid MAMI festival badge. The children and young adults can be registered for:

  1. Day Pass - October 14, 2017 (Access to all age applicable Half Ticket movie screenings for the day)
  2. Day Pass - October 15, 2017 (Access to all age applicable Half Ticket movie screenings for the day)
  3. Weekend Pass- October 14 and 15, 2017 (Access to all age applicable Half Ticket movie screenings for the weekend)

Please refer to the festival schedule to see the age advisories mentioned before booking seats for screenings. All adult festival delegates can are also eligible to watch Half Ticket screenings.

Children and young adults cannot attend Half Ticket screenings/sessions unaccompanied by the adult (parent/guardian) that has registered them. It is mandatory for the delegate (parent/guardian) accompanying the child to carry valid photo id of the child and the delegate themselves. In case of the delegate is a guardian, a letter of authority from the parent of the child, along with photo id of the child, the parent of the child and the delegate needs to be carried at all times. One adult can register 2 children/young adults for Half Ticket.

Yes. It is advised that you pre-book your seats as well as the seats for your children for the screenings.

Yes. All our movies come with age advisories that are mentioned in the daily schedule. Therefore it is necessary that the parent/guardian reads the daily schedule prior to the booking of seats.

Yes. All festival delegates can watch Half Ticket screenings. Please note that all seat bookings are subject to availability. In addition to booking a seat, you must be seated in the theatre, at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the screening.

12 movie screenings will take place over 2 days during the festival.
